"Historical Normandy

Day 1: Hautes-Alpes - Blainville

Departure from your town at the end of the day for Normandy. Overnight trip with double crew.

Packed lunch. Night in coach.

Day 2: Blainville sur Mer - Ste Mère l'église

Arrival at the Holiday Village in Blainville sur Mer for breakfast.

Drive to Sainte Mère l'Église, known as one of the first French villages to be liberated on June 6, 1944, and also famous the world over for the paratrooper John Steele who clung to its bell tower. Guided tour of the Airborne Museum, which will take you back in time to the battles fought by American paratroopers from the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, who jumped over Normandy during Operation Neptune on the night of June 5-6, 1944.

Guided tour of Utah Beach. The first beach to be stormed by the Allies on the morning of June 6, 1944, Utah Beach was chosen to establish a bridgehead into the Cotentin peninsula to capture the town of Cherbourg and its deepwater port.
By the end of the day, over 23,000 American soldiers had landed to fight a titanic battle and liberate France.
Today, the Utah Beach Landing Museum preserves the memory of these men.

Day 3: Arromanches - The landing beaches

We have breakfast.

Guided tour of the D-Day Museum at Arromanches, with film on the D-Day landings and permanent exhibition located in front of the remains of the extraordinary artificial harbor.

Picnic lunch.

Drive to the D-Day landing beaches, passing by the Longues batteries and the American cemetery (guided tour).

Route to Pointe d'Hoc.

On the way back, stop at the La Cambe cemetery. The cemetery can be seen to the south of the route nationale 13 (linking Caen to Cherbourg), which runs alongside it. The cemetery 's central tumulus, dominated by a large, five-metre-high black cross of basalt lava , is home to 207 unknown soldiers and 89 identified soldiers, whose names are engraved in the stone slabs at the foot of the tumulus. The tumulus is surrounded by 49 rectangular plots. Each plot contains around 400 graves. On the vast lawn, the graves are marked by small funeraryslabs2.

A commemorative plaque at the entrance to the cemetery recalls the shared fate of the American and German soldiers who fell on thebattlefield1.

Return to the village at the end of the day. Dinner.

Day 4: Mont Saint Michel

Breakfast.

Guided tour of Mont Saint-Michel.

In all seasons, bathed in sunshine or battered by the winds, Mont Saint-Michel, the "Wonder of the West", stands at the heart of an immense bay invaded by the highest tides in Europe. Entrance to the abbey.

Mont-Saint-Michel is without doubt one of the most prestigious achievements of the Middle Ages.

Guided tour and wildlife workshops in the bay.

Stop at Maison Pèlerin , a confectionery renowned for its caramels. Short tour of the workshop and free time for personal shopping.

Return at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Pegasus Bridge - Museum of the Atlantic Wall

Breakfast and departure from Blainville at 8am.

Guided tour of the Pegasus Bridge Memorial. This museum retraces the actions of the British 6th Airborne Division during the Allied landings on June 6, 1944.

Picnic lunch.

Free visit of the Atlantic Wall Museum. Discover another side of history by immersing yourself in the daily life of German troops during the Second World War.

The Atlantic Wall Museum immerses you in one of the 4 bunkers of the Todt Battery.

Drive to the Paris region.

Check-in. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Disneyland Paris

We have breakfast.

Drive to Disneyland for park opening (1 park ticket).

Day at leisure (the coach must be immobilized for 8 hours)

Snack lunch on site.

Snack dinner on site.

Return to your region. Overnight in coach.

Day 7: Return

Arrival in the morning.
