Built in the form of a bar on stilts (in the shape of flared legs with a brutalist appearance), it attempts to realize a new form of housing estate, a "vertical village" known as a "Unité d'habitation".

Along with sixteen other architectural works by Le Corbusier, the site was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2016. Explanations from the outside.

Carro, at the western end of the Côte Bleue, is a picturesque little port, renowned for its tuna fishing.
At Sausset les Pins, the coast is very jagged. A 4 km-long corniche offers a magnificent panorama of the sea.
Carry le Rouet, like Sausset-les-Pins, is a small seaside resort, situated at the end of a cove framed by pine-wooded slopes.
Le Rouet-Plage is a pretty cove with a beach topped by a magnificent chapel.
The calanques of the Côte Bleue begin at Ensuès la Redonne.
Le Rove has one of the longest coastlines on the Côte Bleue, with a very steep coastline. Two calanques provide shelter for yachtsmen: Niolon and La Vesse.
